2006年3月31日布拉格（法新社） - 捷克共和国、斯洛伐克、罗马尼亚和德国萨克森地区星期五仍然有洪水警报，河水造成的死亡人数在不断上升，更多的人员撤离他们的家中。

在罗马尼亚，当地部门称星期五苏恰瓦地区的一名小孩被洪水冲走，他的祖父救他时差点被卷走。
德瓦镇的警方称，两天前一名13岁的青年皮划艇冠军在船被打翻后失踪，目前仍未找到。

在捷克共和国和斯洛伐克，至少有两名儿童被大水冲走，有两名失踪。

沿捷克-德国边界的易北河水位仍在继续上涨。

德国德累斯顿当地部门警告说，由于河水上涨到7米的标记，超出正常水位三倍，该市有1000人必须要撤离。在上游的Bad-Schandau，约有150人星期五被迫撤离。

捷克共和国，除了靠近河流的300人星期四撤离和利托梅日采附近上游20公里处150人不得不撤离外，拉贝河畔乌斯季还有120人被迫撤离。

捷克受灾最严重的两个地区——摩拉维亚南部和波希米亚南部局势较为稳定。星期三和星期四大约有2000人从摩拉维亚南部的兹诺伊莫镇撤离。

但是，捷克水文气象部门星期五将全国洪水警报延至星期一晚上，因为该国全境开始下雨。预计将有更多的雨水以及融雪使河流水位上涨。

斯洛伐克消防人员警告说必须要密切监视莫拉维亚河和多瑙河的水位。斯洛伐克内务部星期五说，除了1300公顷外，有140个城镇和村庄受灾，并且东部的水位还在上涨。摩拉维亚河两岸大约400人已经撤离。

捷克总理帕劳贝克中断了对埃及的访问回国，安抚受到2002年和1997年特大洪灾创伤的国人。他在星期四的一次特别内阁会议上说，“此时不需要过分担忧。”虽然伏尔塔瓦河已经溢出大堤并且水位缓慢上涨，布拉格仍然保持二级洪水警报。三级是最高级警报。

由于预报今后几天有强降雨，罗马尼亚环境部向全国41个行政区中的19个发出洪水警报。数十公顷农田已经被淹没，全国的房屋和电力线路遭受破坏。
