Landslide in Bolivia

A landslide occurred in Bolivia's capital city of La Paz on 30 April, destroying 17 homes. Areas of the city have been evacuated for safety reasons and local reports suggest their are no fatalities.

The landslide occurred in a hilly suburb on the outskirts of La Paz, where houses are built with fragile foundations. Some houses were totally destroyed and many more have been damaged.

Relief workers have already assisted with evacuating residents and are providing assistance to affected persons.
