Tropical Cyclone Judy in The Solomon Islands
Tropical cyclone Judy, a category one system, formed near the Solomon Islands at the end of February.
Tikopia and Anuta Islands, the two most remote islands of Temotu province were impacted the worst, with the Population of Anuta around 300-400 people and Tikopia around 1500 - 2000 people.
Other Islands were at risk to be impacted by storm surges as most are coastal communities.
The Solomon Islands has a history of being hit by large storms with Tropical Cyclone Zoe, the second-most intense tropical cyclone on record within the Southern Hemisphere hitting in December 2002 and Cyclone Pam in 2015
