Severe weather in South Africa
Severe weather with Strong winds and heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in South Africa's Cape Province, including Cape Town, forcing many schools to close. The heavy winds blew off roofs, uprooted trees and fuelled wildfires, causing serious damage to a wine farm in Stellenbosch and some properties in the Glencairn area.
The weather service issued warnings for heavy rains that may result in flooding and landslides.
