Typhoon in the Philippines

Devastating storms in the Philippines (30 November 2004): Landslides and flooding have been caused by a strong current of low pressure and have resulted in the death or disappearance of almost 500 people in the west of the country; an area which was affected by a killer typhoon last week.

Meteorological agencies predict the region will be hit by another typhoon in the next 48 hours.
