Floods in Vietnam
After several days of heavy rain, at least 26 people have been killed due to flooding in parts of Central Vietnam.
Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces are the worst affected areas, and more than 34,000 people have fled their homes after days of torrential rain.
Several major roads and highways have been cut off and rail services have also been disrupted after the flooding.
The National Meteorology centre forecast more heavy rain in the central coast of Vietnam. The centre also advised that water levels were dropping in the Quang Binh province whilst they continue to rise between the Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces.
A rescue operation is under way and food is being delivered to worst affected areas.
